TRIAGE-Now is a prospective longitudinal non-interventional surveillance study. For the time being it is a single center study which takes place in the Chest-Pain-Unit of the Department of Medicine II, Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz. Patients presenting with chest pain are invited to participate in the study after giving written informed consent.

Chest-Pain-Unit

After enrollment, routine blood work is performed according to special protocol (e.g. serum lipid profiles, glucose, electrolytes, renal function tests, blood cell count, troponins). ECGs on admission after 3 and 6 hours are registered. Further treatment of the patients are performed according to the guidelines

Herzkatheterlabor

Patients will be followed up after 30 days and after 6 months with a questionnaire or a phone call.
